Jewelry Lucky in Red: Crafting the Italian Corniciello

Discover Italian style, one bead at a time! Join the Italian Club and the Italian House for a fun and creative evening of jewelry making. Design your own bracelet, necklace, keychain, or other bead creations while enjoying great company and learning about the role of craftsmanship, color, and style in Italian culture.

Participants will also learn about the cornicello, a traditional Italian horn-shaped charm believed to bring good luck and protection, and explore its significance in Italian culture and folklore.

No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Whether you are studying Italian, interested in Italian culture, or simply looking for a relaxing and social activity, this event is a great opportunity to meet new people and express your creativity.

Jewelry Lucky in Red: Crafting the Italian Corniciello 
Texas Christian University’s (TCU) Italian Club celebrates and immerses students in Italian language, culture, and traditions. Our organization actively fosters a deep appreciation for Italy's heritage through engaging and educational events on and off campus. We regularly host Italian cooking classes, movie nights, and lively conversation hours where members can practice their Italian in an informal setting. Additionally, we participate in cultural excursions, such as attending performances at the Dallas Opera and exploring the Kimbell Art Museum. Many TCU students participate in study abroad programs in Italy (TCU offers programs in Firenze, Roma, and Siracusa). Italian Club prepares students for this endeavor by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experiences.
