About African Students Organization

“GIST” an ASO x Jubilee Inspired Event
African Students Organization is about globalization. We invite various world views, while learning about each other, through the variety of cultures exposed to us at Texas Christian University. ASO educates individuals on how African heritage influences global society! African heritage is not only about being African, it is about looking at one's own heritage, accepting it, loving it, and sharing it with others who WANT to know more about it. Mission: To unite, create a common bond, and give voice to all students of African heritage through inclusive community-building. Vision: To create meaningful opportunities for engagement, dialogue, and collaboration that highlight the richness and diversity of African cultures, fostering a more globally-minded and culturally competent TCU community. We envision a TCU community where the vibrancy of African cultures is celebrated, respected, and integrated into the fabric of campus life, promoting cross-cultural understanding and solidarity.
