About Pre-Health Institute

Doctors Without Borders Speaker Event
For 100 years TCU has prepared students interested in the health professions for post-graduate study through rigorous coursework, access to high-quality clinical experiences and volunteer opportunities and personalized academic and pre-professional advising delivered by caring faculty mentors from the Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy and Psychology Departments. Our 80% acceptance rate into medical school over several decades is double the national average and a testament to the quality of our program. At TCU, the Pre-Health program is a career tract that gives students the opportunity to choose from a variety of majors.Pre-Health students are taught and advised by full-time faculty committed to the success of their students. In addition to a caring faculty, the Pre-Health program at TCU is characterized by excellent students, a rigorous academic curriculum, stability, extensive connections with the regional health care community and a wealth of student activities. The Institute is housed within the Winton Scott/Sid Richardson building complex, home to most of TCU's science classrooms. Our suite is frequented by students that use the space to study and socialize.
