The TCU Latinx Studies Program in the Department of Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies invites you to join us for an number of eclectic events to commemorate Latinx Heritage Month!
Started in 1968, Latinx Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15; also known as Hispanic Heritage Month), provides another opportunity for all of us to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Latin America (Central and South America and the Caribbean). This year, to speak to the Latina/o/x /e experience, the Latinx Studies program along with our cosponsors and student partners will be hosting a speaker series as well as screen the Netflix original series, Gentefied , weekly, with an accompanying student panel.
Cosponsors: The TCU Intercultural and Inclusiveness Services, Department of English, and Department of Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies
Student Partners: CRES Graduate Students, United Latino Association, Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority Inc., Lambda Theta Phi Fraternity Inc., Chi Upsilon Sigma Sorority Inc., TCU Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS)
