TGIFF! Writing Group

Monday Sep 9 - Dec 4 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

TGIFF is a creative writers’ group that provides a meeting place for writers to workshop their creative musings. Although our original focus as a group was fiction, we are branching out to include poets, playwrights, screenwriters, creative nonfiction writers, and anyone else who feels at home with the word arts. My goal as the facilitator is to provide a coffee shop atmosphere where students can feel free to share creative ideas, advice, and work at any stage of its development. We welcome anyone, beginners and prodigies alike. Whether they have a concept they wish to brainstorm before doing any writing, a poem or short story that has stalled and they find themselves in dire need of advice on how to proceed, or a completed one-act play that they wish to fine-tune, our space is safe and supportive for all. And if they don’t happen to have anything yet to share with the group any given week, they are nevertheless welcome to come listen, learn, be inspired, and constructively critique their peers.
