Flavor Several Languages

Tuesday Jan 28 | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Are you interested in a non-English language but aren’t sure where to start? Come our way on Tuesday night, January 28th. Faculty members and students from across the Department of Modern Language Studies will each teach 10 minutes of basic Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Japanese in a low-stress, fun environment. Join us for an energetic activity that is the equivalent of yoga for the brain. Some light refreshments will be served.

About Modern Language Studies Department

The Department of Modern Language Studies teaches Chinese, French, German, Italian and Japanese as well as the cultures and literatures of the countries where these languages are spoken. Studying a language involves not only communication, but also understanding cultures, connecting with other disciplines, learning to compare linguistic and cultural traditions, and appreciating the role of language in our global community.
