Feminist/Queer History Tour of TCU

Friday Sep 20 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

As part of our fall theme semester, “Looking Back, Looking Forward: 25 Years of Women & Gender Studies,” and the TCU Diverse History Project, WGST is planning an interactive, community-organized event that will tell the history of gender and sexuality at TCU. Small groups will visit sites across campus, where community members will share a piece of feminist/queer history.

A golf cart will be made available for anyone who cannot walk the tour route.

After the tour, we will meet back at RJH 111 for a debrief and dessert!

About Women and Gender Studies

Feminist/Queer History Tour of TCU
TCU’s interdisciplinary department of Women & Gender Studies puts women, gender, and sexuality at the center of academic investigation. The department promotes inquiry into the intersections of gender with other identity categories; the workings of power in society; and the means of advancing social justice and equality. Through research, teaching and learning, and collaboration, the program fosters feminist and interdisciplinary analysis across social, historical, cultural and global contexts, products and practices.
