FabLab Visiting Artist Workshop with Ian Etter

Come join the TCU MCBL FabLab for Visiting Artist Ian Etter!
Ian Etter is an intermedia artist, educator, writer, and curator whose work integrates traditional drawing techniques with digital tools and AI-generated imagery.
In this workshop, participants will explore innovative techniques for masking paper with vinyl and applying wet mediums such as ink. The instructor will guide participants through a hands-on experience that highlights the possibilities of creating layered, complex compositions on paper using vinyl as a masking tool. By the end of the workshop, participants will have created an underpainting for use on their own drawings using vinyl masking and ink, leaving with the skills to incorporate these techniques into their own practice.
