Join us for an inspiring afternoon as TCU celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a dynamic and thought-provoking event featuring the acclaimed author, poet, and spoken word artist Joaquin Zihuatanejo. In his engaging presentation, “Empowerment Through Verse: Celebrating Latinx Activism,” Zihuatanejo will explore the power of poetry and spoken word as tools for social change and activism within the Latinx community.

With a background that includes award-winning teaching and a profound commitment to amplifying Latinx voices, Zihuatanejo’s work reflects a deep passion for using the arts as a means of empowerment and community building. His powerful performances and insightful commentary promise to provide a moving and educational experience for all attendees.
