Compassion in Health Care – Does it Exist?

Tuesday Feb 11 | 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Sponsored by the TCU Alumni Association and the TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine, Evonne Kaplin-Liss (M.D., M.P.H.) Assistant Dean for Narrative Reflection and Patient Communication, will moderate a fascinating discussion via teleconference with author Dr. Stephen Trzeciak to answer this question.

He will share their compelling research that health care is currently in the midst of a compassion crisis. The authors’ message aligns with the School’s mission: to transform health care by inspiring Empathetic Scholars™. You’ll leave the event with their prescription to embrace those in need of compassion and see how it transforms your experience.
