Be a Girl Champion: Book Launch and Reception

Tuesday Oct 8 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

To celebrate the release from TCU Press of a Be a Girl Champion, written and illustrated by Chloe Seraspe Reynaldo, join us for a reception and book sale in the RJH atrium.

This project was funded by Discovering Global Citizenship Global Innovator Prize and is a compilation of stories about seven girls who faced hardships in their lives but who came out stronger and wiser. The book celebrates the advocacy, gender equity, and the power of girls. Reynaldo will not be present for the event, but attendees can participate in a social media campaign to celebrate and promote her important work! Stop by anytime between 11 am and 1 pm to purchase a copy, enjoy a treat, or help us promote the book!

About Women and Gender Studies

Be a Girl Champion: Book Launch and Reception
TCU’s interdisciplinary department of Women & Gender Studies puts women, gender, and sexuality at the center of academic investigation. The department promotes inquiry into the intersections of gender with other identity categories; the workings of power in society; and the means of advancing social justice and equality. Through research, teaching and learning, and collaboration, the program fosters feminist and interdisciplinary analysis across social, historical, cultural and global contexts, products and practices.
