Back the Blue Barbecue Fundraiser for Assist the Officer Fort Worth

Wednesday Mar 28 | 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

From 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March 28th, TCU Police Department and Shield 616 are hosting a reception in the Dee. J Kelly Center. The reception is coordinated by the TCU College Republicans, as it is part of the group’s Back the Blue Week. This reception is a fundraiser for Assist the Officer Fort Worth, a local non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to law enforcement officers and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their communities.

Barbecue is provided by Railhead Smokehouse, and there is a minimum donation fee of $5 for guests who would like to eat some barbecue – no donation fee is necessary for law enforcement officials. Those that donate will be given a Back the Blue wristband. The proceeds will go to Assist the Officer Fort Worth and if guests desire to donate additionally to the minimum donation fee, they may certainly do so at the Back the Blue Barbecue, or with the Pay-Pal link attached below. To spread the message of law enforcement appreciation, TCU College Republicans has invited several distinguished guests including elected officials, Tarrant County Sheriff Waybourn, members of the Fort Worth and TCU Police Departments, and the TCU community.
