Chemistry Club Green Chemistry Guest Speaker

During our next general meeting on 11/19, TCU Chemistry Club is excited to host Dr. David Laviska from the ACS Green Chemistry Institute for a special presentation on Green Chemistry: Education and Application. Dr. Laviska will discuss how green chemistry principles are driving sustainable innovation and shaping education, offering students insight into future opportunities within the field.

Join us for free dinner at 5:00 PM, followed by the virtual speaker event at 5:15 PM in Lecture Hall 1. To help students power through the final stretch of the semester, we’ll also be raffling off chemistry-themed wellness and study gifts- including mugs, notebooks, and other fun items perfect for finals week. Plus, attendees can grab informative flyers and small giveaways related to ACS and green chemistry!

We hope to see you there and learn alongside you about the future of sustainable chemistry! 🌿🧪

Hippocratic Society Speaker Event with Dr. Marshall
For 100 years TCU has prepared students interested in the health professions for post-graduate study through rigorous coursework, access to high-quality clinical experiences and volunteer opportunities and personalized academic and pre-professional advising delivered by caring faculty mentors from the Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy and Psychology Departments. Our 80% acceptance rate into medical school over several decades is double the national average and a testament to the quality of our program. At TCU, the Pre-Health program is a career tract that gives students the opportunity to choose from a variety of majors.Pre-Health students are taught and advised by full-time faculty committed to the success of their students.
