TRYOUT Q&A

WHAT AM I TRYING OUT FOR?
TCU Esports competes in the NECC for all of these title games, each game team meets on the designated game day (same as tryout days except OW2 is Fridays) and competes against other collegiate teams with similarly ranked teams. Specific times for each game team is set on the individual game team’s schedule.

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
On each game day, a session can take anywhere from 30 minutes–3 hours depending on the game you are trying out for, it is similar to professional matches (best of 3 or 5). Additionally, each team should have a substitute incase anything prevents you from attending a game night.

WHAT IF I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH?
We want all people trying out to be able to participate in the club, this means either being a subsitute, becoming a caster for the games you are interested in, becoming an active member through events or executive positions, and still engaging in the club outside of competitive gameplay.

WHAT IS THE NECC?
The NECC is the National Esports Collegiate Conference, the largest esports conference in the United States, this is where we choose to compete and it offers both a fall and spring playoff in each league.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?
For any game or tryout specific questions, contact your personal game coordinator on discord (ex: each one has the game title or abbreviation in front of their username) and for any club or general questions contact @wwwhtineyyy.

TCU Delta Gamma Anchor Bowl
Delta Gamma was founded in 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi, at the Lewis School for Girls by three young women who were unable to go home for the Christmas break. Together, Anna Boyd, Mary Comfort and Eva Webb created a club of "mutual helpfulness." They chose the Greek letters Delta and Gamma because of their desire to "Do Good." It remains Delta Gamma's motto today and a driving force in all we do.
