Home Grown the Live Oak Reading Series: Sidney Thompson & Paige Poe
Join the TCU English Department for the “Home Grown” edition of the Live Oak Reading Series, featuring Dr. Sidney Thompson and Paige Poe.
In addition to being the writing consultant for the William L. Adams Center for Writing, Thompson also teaches composition and creative writing for the English Department and African-American literature for the Master of Liberal Arts program. He is the author of the short story collection Sideshow, winner of Foreword Magazine’s Silver Award for Short Story Collection of the Year (2006).
Poe has performed in Theatre TCU’s productions of Everyman (Messenger), Pippin (assistant choreographer/ensemble), and Sylvia (Sylvia), as well as four productions of TCU V-Day’s The Vagina Monologues. She currently serves as the artistic director of the TCU V-Day Campaign.
