The Ripple Effect

A friend or family member’s addiction can have many effects on loved ones– stress, worry, sadness, anger, ambivalence. The Ripple Effect peer support group is an open and anonymous weekly meeting for TCU students who love someone with a substance use or other mental health disorders.

The Ripple Effect
Substance Use & Recovery Services (SURS) provides education and resources regarding alcohol and other drugs to the TCU community. Programs and services include individual alcohol and other drug screening assessments, brief counseling, educational presentations, peer education, leadership trainings, campus-wide prevention and awareness campaigns, and recovery support. Staff members are also available to help students intervene with friends about whom they are concerned.
