Run for Student Body Office

This Fall the 107th session of the SGA House of Representatives passed legislation to change the eligibility requirements for Student Body Officer positions. This means that you do not need any previous SGA experience to run for President, Vice President, or Treasurer.

If you have not been a member in the past, you are required to attend three SGA meetings before the campaign period begins. The filing period runs from March 1st 2021 until March 25th 2021.

If you are interested in joining SGA, please visit https://sga.tcu.edu/get-involved/ Since 1914, the Student Government Association has worked to fulfill its mission: to represent the collective voice of the student body while encompassing the spirit of the TCU community through service, programming and legislation. SGA is comprised of four branches: 1) Legislative: The House of Student Representatives gives the student body a voice by authoring and voting on legislation designed to improve life at TCU. 2) Executive: The Executive Branch is the main body responsible for leading Student Government and communicating with the student body. This branch is composed of the Student Body Officers and Cabinet. 3) Programming: theCrew and theEnd fund, plan, and execute a variety of activities and events on-campus, such as Frogs First, Family Weekend, Homecoming, Holidays at TCU, concerts, movie nights and much more. 4) Judicial The Judicial Board listens to and decides on matters relating to the violation of Student Government’s governing documents.
